A strangers email always shows on the top of my keyboard whenever I am about to log in where-ever. Facebook, tapatalk, basically in each and every login place, app or browser.

This is somewhat odd because I recently restored my phone to "fabric".

It seems google related, yet the email is in my live contacts (somehow) Cant find emails to or from this induvidual.

Any suggestions? How do I get to the root of this issue? How did that email become top priority at logins.

Hi! I personally haven't seen anything like this before... Did you buy this phone brand new, unlocked, wiped, etc? All I can think of is maybe it remembers the login from a previous user (despite the wipe), or that if a friend borrower your phone, maybe this is from that borrowed time. But that wouldn't explain why this email address is in all of your social media platforms... Hmm.

The email belongs to a guy in texas, USA.

I bought the phone brand new in norway, europe..

Hmm... I am sorry, I am stumped! Hopefully another user will be able to chime in with possible explanations! Aside from this, can you delete the suggestions, at least?

Merry Christmas!

I'd like to find the root of the cause and I am afraid that if I delete the predictive text I will have loose ends.

Im just guessing there are secret codes, dump files or similar that can track down the cause?

I would also like to mention that I had a trojan horse on my phone like a week ago now.

And merry christmas :)

Thanks for joining in. 😊

How old is your phone... or rather, how long have you had your phone number? Sometimes phone numbers are associated with social media accounts and if your number has been registered before, it may be showing the email of the previous owner of the number. I realize you bought the phone in Norway and the email is supposedly from the USA, but that's the only thing I can think of. By the way, how do you know the owner is in Texas... did you email him?

My phone is just a few months old, yet my number is many years old..

I googled the mail address.

It's a dude in texas, with some programming skills. His mail and full name is easy to find. I guess someone/the Trojan could have put this mail on my phone for some reason.. to send me on a wild goose chase.

But who knows...

I only got 2 hits on that email address when I googled it earlier. One was for Setuix.com and the other ForumAuthority. I really didn't do a full search on either site for the guy... but on Setuix, a quicky showed up as a guy named Joey. Was just curious if you contacted him.

Your previous post #6 was posted just before mine was (#7), so my post was unneeded. I guess you're good now.

Merry Christmas to you too!

My post #6 was just poorly written, I have not found a solution yet.

I've edited post #6.

Your assistance is therefore still much appreciated.

Ps: some of the sites I found with his mail address, full name and work occupation as a programmer seems to be gone.

I've tried mailing him but I don't think he is the reason his mail is hijacking my phone.. its just too obvious if he was trying to hack me. Right?

Okey here's a scenario: let's say this guy actually has some skills in programming, codes etc.

He creates an app for ipad or something.

I download it and because he mistakenly did a few programming errors I was the unlucky one to get infiltrated with his email on my "account" which in turn made his email priority 1 on my Samsung s7 phone "somehow".

It's a long shot but..

More likely scenarios:

1. I did something... typical right?

2. Someone used his mail within the Trojan that was on my phone to send me on a wild goose chase?

3. The guy actually hacked into my phone somehow...

This is the security settings for my google-account... its my newly added spare account for apps like badoo...

API project etc is affiliated to my account. Now I can't remember ever having developer apps on my phone??

I have no idea what might be causing this. Since its just a predictive text, why not just delete it? By the way, you mentioned you recently restored your phone to "fabric"... what does that mean? Did you factory reset your phone?

Yes I factory set my phone... and a few days later an unknown email is priority 1 at every login... I could delete it easily but that wouldn't eliminate the root problem..

The root problem may be an app you installed. If the problem only showed up a few days after the factory reset, it has to be an app... or some form of malware. Perhaps doing another factory reset, and then monitoring more closely your installs to see if you can identify the app.

You could also delete the predictive text, start your phone in Safe mode, and see if the predictive text come up. Safe mode will disable 3rd party apps, so if it's an app that's creating the predictive address you shouldn't see it reappear. Next start your phone in normal mode and check again if the predictive text appears. If it does, then it's some app doing it.
