Premium Care Claim

You guys need to start tweeting this crap on Samsung's twitter account. You'd be really surprised how that can help.

I tried that when I was going through the whole thing, Facebook and Twitter. Someone responded twice and after that, radio silence. I figure, unless you have a few hundred followers who can retweet your post, it just won't gain any traction

Filed a claim today, Sunday 7/23, approved 2 hours later, so far so good. There are two things that I wonder, does the replacement phone still IP 68? and have anyone received a new phone instead of a refurbished one?

Update 7/24: Shipped

Update 7/25: Received, but what I got is a refurbished device but in different color. Everything looks like new, no scratches on the glass and frame. However, I found a small piece of lint underneath the camera lens. I will wait for a few days to see if it move to some other places because lint under camera lens bother me.

Hi. has anyone had a "good" experience? One of our S8+ phones now has 2 small screen cracks and I'm debating if we wait to file a claim until it gets really bad or not. Reading on these experiences makes me hesitate about moving forward with a claim. Maybe there are others who had better luck with the Premium Insurance? Thanks!

Holy crap, reading all of this makes me sick. I just filed a claim for my cracked Note 8 with Assurant so I hope I don't have any of these issues. On the phone the lady was defensively pleasant to speak with. Said note 8's are not on backorder and after the claim is accepted I'd have a new phone in 24hrs. Do they test these things before they send them out?

Premium is the absolute worst!
Cracked my note 8, made a claim through premium. Got my replacement note in, had a scratch on it! Said they couldn't replace it since nothing was functionally wrong with the phone. They ended up letting me replace that one . Got my 2nd one. Had 3rd party crap back glass part. Non oem. Font was crooked and is made in China. I'm not paying $1000 for a phone to get it replaced with subpar parts! They won't do anything now. I am incredibly furious. This will most likely be my last Samsung phone. (And no, not swapping to apple)

Wait your 2nd replacement was a KNOCKOFF?!?! That's ridiculous

yea, so I just got my replacement Note 8 back (the refurb from Assurant) and no noticeable software issues or sliggishness. It seems legit so far after 5 days.

Anyhow, can someone tell me if they flick their fingernail on the front and back of your Note 8 or s8, does it sound the same? On the back of mine it sounds like plastic, on the front glass. Is it all supposed to be glass?

All glass. Sounds different because there are different things behind it. Unfortunately, they are equally brittle. Case-up if you're a butter - fingers like me.

I called Samsung premium care on 12/3 because of as dark mark on the screen. They said it was a factory defect and would send out replacement for free. I received an Email that night saying they would Email again when it shipped. After a week with no news I called back. They saw the claim right away and said yes it was approved but didn't know why it shipped out. They said I would get it the next day, and I did. I expected a generic box with just a phone. That is what Verizon sent out in the past for other phone claims. What I received surprised me, S8 plus in a factory box with all the stuff, charger,cord.adapter,books,everything.And I sent in Verizon black, but this is a unlocked black. Flawless, and working even better than the old one. I called and asked if they wanted the box and all the stuff back, they said no just the phone. So I have to say I am very, very happy with the service.

Glad you had a great experience. I've heard so many horror stories so this is refreshing.
