Preorder shipment date...accurate?

When I preordered my Z Flip 3 from Samsung.com it said the ship date was 5-6 weeks. I was willing to wait because of the color choices. Anyway I was wondering how accurate this estimate is. Could I get lucky and it would get shipped sooner? What is your experience with advanced ship dates?

Not only am I anxious to get my new phone but I have a trip planned around that time and it would be nice if it came early. I know nobody has a crystal ball but what has been your experience?

Wouldn't be surprised if it shipped early assuming you placed your custom color order early in the pre order cycle. They generally give conservative ship dates, so think it'll ship sooner. Good luck, I know waiting is hard for a new gadget.

I ordered it 3 days after the announcement...Aug. 14. Good to know there is hope of an earlier arrival.

Watch...it will come the day before I leave and I'll have to wait until I get back to set it up. I find it generally takes me a day and a half to get everything the way I want it. Mostly because I get late deliveries. Not sure I want to leave on a trip with a brand new phone that I haven't completely set up yet. There won't be any time to mess with it on my trip (convention).

Yeah, same as me. Sept 21 and I also got the white. I wish all colors were available in all sizes. I would have liked either the lavender or the cream but wanted the 256.

Ordered mine on 8/31 with a delivery date of 9/14. Today it was updated to 9/21 delivery But, the cancel button is gone and there is a pending charge on my CC. I hope its just a glitch, I'm going to S. Carolina on the 16th and wanted to travel with it.

Update: Got confirmation tonight that phone has shipped and will arrive on 9/8 which is even better than the original date! Sweeeeet!

Ordered my wife the lavender 128 model 26 August. Set to deliver 8 September. Original expected date kept sliding to the right so happy with the ship date.

I ordered mine from the Samsung site August 26th. I got notification that first it will be delivered the week of September 1st. In the email they sent me it said delivery date of September 8th. I then got an email confirmation which said it is backordered and when I clicked on the order number it now says September 14th delivered by. I threw chat messaging on the Samsung members app asked them which date to expect it and they told me September 8th but I never got any sort of confirmation email that it was shipped and when checking on the website it still says backordered. So I would say that no, the shipping dates are not accurate unless you get an absolute confirmation email from them with a tracking number from the shipping agent.

Well Samsung seems to be taking their sweet time releasing the exclusive colors. Mine shows Sept 28 for the panda

When I ordered my white phone on Aug 14 the estimated delivery date was 5-6 weeks. Now new orders have a date of Oct 1st. So it looks like mine will possibly come the last week of September. Just waiting for that email telling me it has shipped. Waiting is hard.

Well, I didn't preorder. I ordered Sept 7 and it showed in stock. Deliver shipping was shown to be Sept 10 and arrival on the 14th. I just checked my order and it now shows Sept 21st as the expected delivery date. Very disappointing. :'( I didn't order a special color like white, I ordered green. They didn't have any trouble hitting my credit card immediately.

Just checked mine. It moved from September 14th to September 17th. WTH!!!

I just check and the Backordered status has disappeared and the cancel order option is gone. Samsung must have received a shipment. Hope it will arrive earlier than the 17th now. I'll update when I get a shipped notification.

Update:

Got notification that my phone has shipped. New delivered date is back to September 14th. Looks like Samsung got a load in. I would guess other's backorders will go out now as well.

It shipped!! Should be here tomorrow. So in the end I am getting my pre-ordered phone about a week earlier than estimated! Now I can take it on my upcoming trip next week!! Yahoo!
