Same here. My S3 is supposed to ship on the 11th so maybe I'll get both devices at the same time.

????? I ordered the 16GB version just now with no issues and went back and checked and it was still available for order... Both the 8 and 16GB....

thanks to you wonderful people, i just called Google and canceled my 8GB order...in turn, i ordered 16...came to about $282 with 2 day shipping

I will be ordering the 8gb likely. I have all my music in the cloud and also I do believe that ics and up support usb host mode, so I can just plug in my flash drive and mount it. Still to be discovered but I am pretty sure that the external storage works on pretty much all ics devices.

This isn't ICS it's Jelly Bean, and there are ICS devices now that do not support host mode. USB OTG is pure speculation. We will have to see.

According to Anandtech usb otg is supported. They should be testing it out in a few days. I got the 16gb anyways.

Kewl! No MicroSD slot is far less of an issue if OTG is supported. Just like you, got the 16GB anyway.


EDIT: Dang, storage will not be "natively supported", only usb-2-ethernet, keyboards, mice etc. Google better come out with an update to fix this quick. Playbook left this out and it was a dismal failure sales volume wise. Google, don't make the RIM mistakes, look where they are.

Thinking I'm going to pick mine up at Gamestop when they have it. Saves 10-13 bucks on shipping and I have a couple PS3 games I'm gonna trade in for store credit so it will save a nice chunk.

I plan on going to GameStop with a bunch of old games and preordering the 16GB in the next few days. Hopefully they will not have a huge delay on their shipments compared to the Play Store. Anyone else doing this? No shipping and getting rid of some old games, not a bad deal.

I don't think it's a delay--it's simply not released yet.
