Preorders starting tomorrow? (Nov 29th)

sounds good.. cant believe that guy emailed and ranted to verizon in "disgusts".. I've truly got a lower respect for mankind over the past few weeks following this phone.

That guy at Computerworld also posted an article about that Mac58 kid here who said his store let him pre-order a week ago, only to find out it wasn't a corporate store. I'm not putting any stock in this at all, although an official announcement should be this week, pre-orders or not.

I would really love that $199 price tag if it's true. Seems odd to me that a phone on par hardware wise with the other top phones costs $100 less. But that's all rumor...

They could offer offer a preorder tomorrow, but still not release the phone until the end of December. I could care less about a preorder. I just want it in my hands.

Would Best Buy start pre-orders also tommorow? Planning on getting my nexus there. They are offering to give me 300$ for traiding in my Bionic and I hope its at that price till next week.

With all the attention surrounding the December 8th release date, I'm just hoping this will be true. Because preorders will have to happen this week for the 8th release to be legit, at least I think so. I don't think Verizon would silently release this phone, I think they're actually making sure it is ready and will begin marketing it soon. *wishful thinking*

all this talk about the phone reminds me of the thunderbolt anticipated release dates and all the blunders that came along with it. it does look like a sweet phone but i'm still loving the tb i mean most of us that do have the tb i think are just starting to get it running the way it should be running. i dont know if i'll jump and make the switch just yet. maybe by the time i'm done with the tb the nexus will be released lol

I know this has little to no legitimacy, but while at Costco on Saturday, I asked the attendant at Wireless Advocates if / when Costco would be selling the Galaxy Nexus, and he told me that their system lists December 10th as the day. He added that the phone would be bundled with a cradle, a spare battery, a 12v charger and a screen saver and case.

Interesting. I've been debating whether getting the Nexus day one at a corporate store, or waiting till Costco brings it up with accessories. In the past, Costco is usually a bit slower in getting phones, but if they sell it fairly soon after the official release, I can wait a bit longer to score all those goodies. I can only hope!

If it's 199 at corporate I wonder what amazon or wirefly will offer maybe 175.00 shipped? I really hope 199 is the price point so vz can get back to reality with subsidizing these phones with a fair amount. It was getting to the point with the likes of the bionic you are better off just paying retail price of 594. I phones run 199 and are 734.00 retail big red better get to 199 on top of the line 4g phones they will still loose more mony selling a bionic at even 150 losing 450 vs i phone at 199 losing 534. In the end this would also make apple drop their price if sales drop.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Phones most likely will not go back down to $199 since people will pay $299. Plus apple has way more power with pricing and what not. You have to figure the iphone is 299 for 32 gb which is right on par with 32 gb nexus. People always say iphone 199 when that is just the base model.

I'm willing to bet Amazon will be selling this phone at a penny for new contracts within the first week of launch, same as with the Rezound and Razr, and many other phones.. and itll be somewhere around 50-75 cheaper then whatever Verizon is selling it for on upgrades.

So if there arent pre-orders, then Amazon will be where I purchase my phone, if their are pre-orders, ill be pre-ordering asap from Verizon directly.
