Preorders starting tomorrow? (Nov 29th)

I'd be pretty stoked if this phone was really only $199. You can't beat that type of phone for $199. Not to mention I have to exchange this Razr for it and would get $70 back after you factor in the restocking fee. I'd pay them an extra $70 just to take this damn thing off my hands.

I'm willing to bet Amazon will be selling this phone at a penny for new contracts within the first week of launch, same as with the Rezound and Razr, and many other phones.. and itll be somewhere around 50-75 cheaper then whatever Verizon is selling it for on upgrades.

So if there arent pre-orders, then Amazon will be where I purchase my phone, if their are pre-orders, ill be pre-ordering asap from Verizon directly.

amazon is usually close to same price as verizon for upgrades. It is the new lines that are always much cheaper.

Just think; we all can take solace in the fact that once we get our Nexi (sp), we can laugh at the next group of people who have to wait on a phone like this. The only thing that I can think of that's been worse is for people who were early adopters of the Bionic. The phone was supposed to launch, got delayed for months, launched, was terrible, and then got replaced by the Razr a month or two down the road. They got f'ed on that one. Makes me feel better about waiting a month or so for a phone like this.

I know anything is possible, but is it realistic for VZW to open reporders at 12:01 and then announce the phone at like 0830... or does announcement always come before preorders.

That happened with the droid 3. Preorders happened and then early next morning they announced it.

Phil or Jerry post something on the main page and almost everyone stays on topic or doesn't blast them for misinformation. At least being a part of Android Central lets you weed through the BS. I feel bad for people who don't know any better and rely on sites like Droid Life to get their info.

I know this has little to no legitimacy, but while at Costco on Saturday, I asked the attendant at Wireless Advocates if / when Costco would be selling the Galaxy Nexus, and he told me that their system lists December 10th as the day. He added that the phone would be bundled with a cradle, a spare battery, a 12v charger and a screen saver and case.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. The way the article was worded it was like it was a genuine confirmation. But, unless the author cites Verizon as the official source, then what's the purpose of the article?
