Hope everyone is excited for the launch!

I purchased the mystic white ultra.

With that being said, what I normally do is transfer my contacts and text messages and phone log at the store. This time around I think I want to rock it out with a completely fresh device and add things manually instead of transfer.

What is the best way to back up data? I'm on a note 10 plus, and I just went into settings and turned backup on and selected my Gmail account. It said it would back up to my Google drive account. Where in my Google drive account does it save my texts and calls, etc. I can't find it. My mother passed away last Sunday, its important I don't lose my text messages. Thats the one thing that I have from her, conversations back and forth via text.

Also I used to use 1password but I know samsung has their own password management system with knox or whatever. Is there a way to backup all the saved passwords that are stored in my samsung device system? I want to make sure I have all of those passwords saved.

I guess the ultimate question is, who is starting with a complete fresh device? What are you doing to backup your current device and add some of that stuff back to note 20 ultra?

I'm sorry for your loss. I always do fresh installs of stuff, but I do use SmartSwitch to seamlessly transfer text messages I want to keep along with like call logs and photos saved to the device (I prefer to fresh install stuff like apps).

I tend to hold my old phone a few days while switching, as well as do a complete copy onto my computer. You can also do a backup with the Kies software or whatever its called these days, sorry I haven't used it myself in some time. I also do a backup to the cloud with Samsung, make sure it's current before I switch, as a backup. Plenty of options I guess!

Thanks for the words!

So I preordered at best buy. When I go pick up my Note 20, they inspect my current phone and take it. At that time I can either have them transfer stuff over or just reformat my current phone and turn it in. I guess I just got to do a little digging.
