Preparing for the Evo with AppBrain

That's weird. I get this since last night when I was on there, and it's still there.

Error: Server Error

Edit: I see what happen. I get that error because I'm signed in. What the heck is happening?

I'm not one to go hog-wild bulk installing stuff; if I do, most of it will go unlooked at. Here's the stuff I'll be installing right away, though:

Some ebook readers. I'll probably downselect to a favorite after trying them all:
Aldiko
FBReader
WordPlayer

A locally cached note/memo app with cloud backup. Used Evernote on my Pre, but the purely web-based datastore made it way too laggy. Already ported all my Evernotes to the Snaptics website.
3banana notes

A password/data manager with desktop sync. Been a SplashData user for many years, but they seem to be putting all their efforts on iPhone apps these days, so going to try something else when I jump to Android:
SecForms

A travel itinerary app (going on a business trip right after getting my Evo):
TripCase

Just found out about appbrain last night. Great site makes finding apps much easier! My question is, why isn't the actual Android Market set up like this?

Great question. I think ti would benefit them if it was.

Using it now to get ready for the 4th. This makes it even more exciting switching over to Android. It also helps me pass the time until the 4th. (17 days, in case you were wondering). ;)

I got a huge list going. 48 apps. more than one are duplicate because I want to see which one I like the best... as long as they arent running, they dont slow the phone down at all, right? as long as I dont fill up the entire storage space

oh man I have a ton of things already selected in various lists. Starter list, live wallpapers, sounds, jokes and quotes etc.. Lots! i:Di

Is there any way to get the free files ahead of time and side load them? Appbrain is gonig down on the 4th I am sure! i:Di

I think I'm over 100 apps already.. Run them on my Moment, and will use AppBrain to transfer to the Evo.. Will even try and restore appdata via backup pro.

Can you post your link (if it isn't too much to ask). I'm trying to find everything that fits my needs :D

stupid question or maybe already answered...can you only visit this site from a computer? Doesn't seem to let me create an account from my phone...

There is a Android app (Appbrain), I don't know if you can create an account on it since I'm on a Pre.

I assume if you render the webpage in "desktop" mode, you should be able to do everything.

yeah, I'm on a pre too and it's already the full website, but when I click create account it just takes me to a page with a box in the middle that says download google analytics....idk....guess I'll try on the computer when I get home from work.
