PRI update

has any one updates there PRI (who recently rooted).


i have 2 days trying to update it but nothing....
can any one please help me up date it

I updated successfully 2nite. Patience and time is essence.

1. MSL Reader from App Market (to find MSL)

2. following the instruction from XDA
NAND Backup is important, do it before anything
a. ##786#
b. menu --> reset
c. type MSL as password
d. automatically reboot to recovery
e. wipe cache/dalvik x2
f. reboot
g. Handfree activation will start automatically
h. check PRI, if it's 1.40_003, you are lucky man, otherwise, repeat from step a.

Personally, I repeated like 5,6 times, it's frustrating, i know.

Yeah i tried the other way with ##3282# or something like that...after 7 times I gave up lol..did this require a wipe also or no. I thought that method did

I am running CM6, how do I do this? The ## doesn't do anything in CM6. I don't want to lose all my data/customizations in CM6.

Hey guys wanted to chime in to say that I updated my pri and prl and my speed increased greatly. Thanks for the help.

i hate that pri and prl thing............
cant update............ i have tried this and nothing...
i have tried both method and still noting. all so i have tried in different location to see if its different antenna but nothing (i look like a pirate with a map walking all throughout nyc trying different location to see if i can get a pri update and nothing)

so there is something that happens.... i don't know what to say there has to be a more concrete answer to why i cant update and others can

got mine to work using the ##786 thing.

did that,

then hit menu-reset then enter your MSL

booted to recovery

wiped cache twice, then rebooted, phone did OTA activation and had the 1.40 file.

i got my MSL code from MSL reader from the market place.

funny thing is,my phone says its reconditioned.....

also, my data is now SLOWER then it was before i was getting 1k download earlier today and now im getting not over 400kbs, i wish i could go back, but im unsure how??

i restored from my nandroid but its still at 1.40...

anyone know how to go back!??

i never win.

i dont understand wth happened....

earlier today my speeds were over 1mb, then about 8 hours later i got the 1.40 pri and did a speeds test and cannot get over 400 kbs a second.

now i dont know if thats because its late at night or what...

what do u think i should do? wait till tomorrow and see if my speeds pick up?

because after 2 wipes and 2 different roms, the speed isnt budging...

because in order to get to 1.30 again, i have to drop back to 2.1 and re root myself with simple root...

I got mine to update to 1.40.... but it took 6 tries before it updated. After the update, 3G speeds went back up to what they were before I rooted.

I dont get everyones deal with PRI...

I haven't Updated it dont really care to... the phone works fine no matter what Rom I Flash it really isnt that big a thing...

Unless you have the newer one then well yea Squaids....

I'm somehow back at 1.37, I did a few things but don't know how it reverted lol.

Speeds are back to normal now, if your speeds are good, then don't mess around, you might regret it.

I'll post the things I did if anyone cares.
