Price changed

I'd stick with your current delivery and see later on what can be done. It's just too much to ask for things to go smoothly

Well, Samsung lives up to their reputation. Just received email denying the refund.

Thinking about reordering, I can still get the black by Friday. Anyone know if they charge restocking fee for returns.

Samsung is a nightmare when it comes to customer service and it might be better to just pay the extra $100. I've never returned anything before so I don't know, but I can imagine it being a nighmare if anything goes wrong, I'll end up paying for a phone I don't even have.

I hate Samsung at these times, this is where apple wins hands down.
No restocking fee for returns.

I've refused a shipment before for that very reason. You've never taken possession of the item, and there's no restocking fee.

A few years ago, I ordered a tablet and later noticed my employee discount wasn't applied. I ordered another one and refused the delivery of the first.

That's what they are telling me now, refuse the delivery and no restocking. If it gets delivered then 5% restock.

I'm just worried about Samsung screwing this up somehow. It is Samsung after all.

Follow up with the agent, now I'm scared they will do the same with me lol

I had an issue once and the only way to resolve (per Samsung customer service) was to order a 2nd device and refuse delivery of the first. But it seems like that suggests I would have to be home at the time of attempted delivery to refuse, which is unlikely.

Otherwise, if they drop it off and leave, that's like me accepting delivery, and then I might get into an issue of it being considered a return.

Between that and tying up so much money technically purchasing two devices was enough of a deterrent that I just stuck with my original order, which is probably why Samsung offers that as an option, because they know a lot of customers won't fool with it.

@mlblack16 Yes, someone definitely has to refuse the delivery. All of my tech gets delivered to my office, so that alleviates my worries.

It's just sad consumers have to deal with the dishonesty on this level from a company on Samsung's level. Playing with prices, etc is 'punishing' the very customers you definitely want to keep happy - those putting enough faith in your products to purchase sight unseen.

I'm sorry, Friend. So frustrating
Thanks,it's frustrating to say the least. I buy Samsung phones out of protest. I prefer Samsung phones, but apple isn't horrible, just expensive and a little behind in features, their customer service is top notch anyway.

Dealing with Samsung customer service is so bad, phones are the only thing I buy from Samsung, and that's challenging for me to do, lol. I will never buy appliances, televisions or anything else Samsung makes. I know Samsung televisions are good, but so is Sony.

That's a issue for most also, which is why I'm sure they do it this way, to make it harder for you to cancel and reorder for better price. I am able to do it, but if Samsungs automated return system goes crazy or ups loses the phone then I could be charged for a phone I don't have or have to fight with ups because I already know Samsung sends you to the shipper and the shipper sends you to Samsung, so you know the headache that could be there. I'll probably just pay the extra and go the safe route.

They told me it's because I didn't wait for the reserve email to be delivered before ordering, which is why I didn't get the reserve credit. I told them that's wrong, the reserve was there it, but we were forced to use it on select items like watch, tablet. That obviously was an error as they fixed it now. I told them they are always late delivering the reserve email and this happens all the time.

I suggested that maybe you should send the reserve emails out 24 hours before the announcement of new phones and those that reserved can actually have a benefit to have a early ordering window if they choose to. Majority of people that reserve are people like us on the forums that order every year, your more loyal customers, so give them a benefit.

That's what they are telling me now, refuse the delivery and no restocking. If it gets delivered then 5% restock.

I stand corrected. Seems like within the last year (most recently with S25U release) that Samsung has added a 5% restocking fee to any devices not including the A series and S series excluding the Ultra.

Yeah they claim if I refuse the delivery then no restocking feee, if it gets delivered then 5% fee, even if it has not been opened.

I'll probably just take the safe route and just stick with what I have, if they charge a restock fee that's $50 and it's not worth the headache for $50 net savings.

I did try to get extra $100 promo towards the 2025 ultra, but I decided there really is no reason at all to trade in the 2024 ultra, I wouldn't get the blue and the storage isn't a issue for me, I still have 21 GB available on the 2024 ultra.

I'll chalk this up to a teaching experience.

I had uploaded the email for reserve and told them first responder wasn't working at the time of my order that it should be 100.00 off so the agent said I'll send it up to the team to price match without cancelling so wait and see for an email soon
