Does anyone know why the silver one is ?405 and the black one of ?460? They're both going down gradually but a few weeks back the black was ?440 close to the silver at ?420. I've decided I want the black but I'm not going to pay ?55 extra for a colour, especially since it's now ?40 more than it was weeks back.

Inventory and demand are two variables that often influence product pricing. If you plan on putting a case on it then go with the cheaper silver model if at all possible.

I might get a case for it, but I wouldn't use it all the time. Also apparently the black is ideal for watching TV/movies in the dark, the white reflects light. I strongly prefer the black over white. It was ?440 a few weeks back so it will most likely go down to that or less soon. I still can wait a few weeks before I will need a phone.

Ah, I see. Well, you can wait a bit and see if the device comes down in price a little. Otherwise, consider the most least obtrusive case so you have something to protect it but don't really realize its there (I hope that makes sense).
