Hey all, usually just a lurker here but I have a question. I want the S5 but I can't buy it right now since I am going to be switching carriers in September when the other person on my line contracts end. Do you all think by then the price may decrease a little or no? just asking your thoughts.

I doubt it, but there may be 'sales' when it's time. And who knows, there may be something you'd like better in September.

I agree, there may be back to school or other sales, but I wouldn't completely rely on it. I remember last August/September I was waiting for a price drop on the gs4 and it didn't happen. As it turned out, I got my Nexus 5 the day after Halloween and couldn't be happier, so be open to all options. :)

I saw the s5 for 168.47 today at my local Sam's. Made me rethink if it was worth having for the last week it save 30$
I'll bet the price has gone down more than that by September.

Last year on Black Friday there were several stores that had the S4 for like $.01. Of course you have to sign up for the 2 yr contract but at least that would save you $200 if you can wait that long.

There should definitely be sales, essentially if you are signing a contract. Even today you can pick up the Verizon S5 for $100 at Costco.

Black Friday would probably have even better pricing

No, the retail price will not drop but you can always keep an eye out for a sale. However if you can wait, the Note 4 will be the bomb.

Does the Verizon version of the s5 have the download booster?

And last year, T-Mobile did have the gs4 for $0 most of the summer.

I don't know, it was a TV commercial but I don't know the whole terms. :)

Probably $0 down from what I remember. Still full retail payment plan, so price was around $650

You're probably right. I wanted a gs4 at the time, and I was tempted, but T-Mobile isn't great in my location, so I was hoping for a price drop on an unlocked gs4, but no such luck from what I could see on Amazon, then.

If price is an issue, I would just pick up the att note 3 refurbished no contract for $250.
