Private Mode Password Problem

So this is so dumb. I turned on private mode for the first time ever on my galaxy s6 edge and selected password as my security option. Then it asked me to create a password. I then entered my password. It then asked me to confirm my password. I then confirmed my password. Then a message popped up that said unable to activate private mode. I then turned on private mode again and it asked for my password. I then entered the password i had just created 5 seconds earlier and it said i was putting in the incorrect password. I then tried like 30 more times to enter the password i had just set it to and it says i'm putting in the incorrect password. I'm at my wits end here. Is there anyway to fix this??
