Did you download the official drivers from LG's site? It needs those to recognize the OV

The latest prl we should probably use is 60686 or 60687-which sprint users were getting last week off you can find it. I'm not going to use corporate prl's

Not sure the difference but I've been running 12121 for a few day now with no issues but no notable improvement either. I came from 60686

Has there been any significant changes from 60679 vs the current PRL files? I moved across the country and haven't been checking the site.

So, I have tried different versions of CMDA workshop, different roms (Harmonia), trying it with phone off, while in recovery mode... and I still cant get the phone to answer. It connects, but states phone failed to answer??
Ive looked through this thread and few others. Any suggestions?

Make sure you use Harmonia 1 or stock ROM, and phone off, that should work. I've never had any luck connecting CDMA WS on IHO (which Harmonia 2 is).

I haven't tried it, but others report Xionia recovery works as well.

This is the stock recovery from the ZV9 update. flash it and boot to it. use it for your qpst/cdma workshop needs. Works for me every time. just flash back to a good custom recovery after your done.

wow that's been a challenge. Finally got it, I used both (Harmonia 1 and Xionia) just to be safe. Flashed to 60687 and in my area its making a noticeable difference.

Which on a side note I will be able to play with my EVO now that I can get it to connect and read properly!

Thanks a bunch!

Great, glad it worked, thanks for feedback. You shouldn't have to flash both ROM and recovery for this: Xionia or stock recovery (thanks wraith) should be enough if you boot into recovery before connecting CDMA WS. At least in theory ;)

Flashing just Xionia always works for me. I keep it on my sdcard and when I want to update prl i flash it, reboot into recovery and connect QPST. Don't have to change anything with the rom

so, your saying all I should need to do is boot back into recovery then plug it in to the USB while I'm still in recovery?
reason I ask, I've got a EVO I've been dying to try out and the only way is to have a donor phone. which is crap, but that's a whole different argument.

Just thought I'd mention that cwmt touch recovery works for it too. Jerry had mentioned wanting to make the green recovery work but hasn't got it yet.

I have successfully saved my .qcn from my phone which is really two files as I can see named: 809C414E_sp and 809C414E_sp.rl0

Which of these do I use if I want to write to my phone if I want it back to original? Also, how can I get the 61007 out of this these to post and help people that want their phone back to spec?

Thanks

I'd imagine bitpim wouldn't work. That's an app for random phones out there but not many smart phones I'd think. The last phone I owned that worked with bitpim was maybe 8 years ago.
