PRL Swap for the V on VM (latest PRL for Sprint Towers).

I wish prl swapping worked for me, all it does however is throw my phone into roaming mode forever. :(

Has anyone else had similar issues?

When I run CDMA workshop, im informed my demo period has expired. I tried re-downloading the demo, but no luck. Any ideas?

I deleted a registry key for cdma workshop, didnt work... tried setting system time back 2 years, didnt work... any other methods for retreiving the MSL? I tried a couple of apps from the market, didnt work... meh!

i ended up installing the work shop on another computer to get the msl of the wifes ov. To work with the prls i ment to say QPST not cmda work shop.

Is there any way to identify which PRL is better for your home location, or just trial & error?
I've tried 3, and the more recent seem better for signal. However, according to whomever updates the PRL list site, 01115 works better for data (I can't seem to find his/her post stating that).

I think they're all the same although I have seen dBm in the 50's with the more recent PRLs...however, I was a little more "aware", watched more, so it may just be an artifact.

PRL just identifies which towers you can connect to. It would only make a difference if a newer PRL added towers in your area. The majority of people will connect to the same tower before and after a PRL change...the speed tests that they do before and after a PRL change to "prove" a benefit are mostly just placebo from regular variance unless they know (e.g. from OpenSignalMaps) that they're actually connecting to a new tower.

Is there anyway to change the Access Overload Class of our phones?

I've tried changing it in QPST and it doesnt seem to stick.

I think that has been blown way out of proportion and is old information.
If it really made that much difference, people would pay big bucks for better numbers. At any rate, I did change mine and it did nothing, as many others have also found out who tried it.

I suspect it may have been relevant at one time, but these days I can only see people getting angry because they got a high number.

Try CDMA WS while your phone is in recovery; I noticed some roms make CDMAWS tweak out and not recognize the phone.

Despite much trying, CDMA WS and QPST could never see my phone as long as I had IHO on it (neither booted nor in recovery). As soon as I flashed stock ROM and turned off the phone, everything worked perfectly.

I hear that booting into Xionia recovery works as well. But not IHO or Bobz recovery (in my experience).

Edit: Or Harmonia 1, as LeslieAnn says.

^^
Even for those who run QPST in recovery?

In any case, I haven't tried it with xionia, but booting recovery never did the trick for me as long as I had IHO or Bobz recovery. Only stock and power off worked. I'm sure H1 would work too.

When you connect QPST or LGNPST, it actually connects to the rom/kernel, not the recovery, even while turned off.

Hmmm... I figured as much when powered off, but thought if booted in recovery it would use its kernel instead. Why would so many people be unable to QPST in the ROM (or even powered off), but it works in recovery?

I'm not sure, but I am one of those who have to turn the phone off in order to connect, after some testing I found...

When running Harmonia 2, it didn't matter what recovery I used, it wouldn't work.
When running Harmonia 1, regardless of recovery, it worked.
