Sorry I couldn't help as I use QPST to change the PRL. However, QPST would recognize my USB-connected OV only while it's in recovery mode. And that's only effective with two recoveries (CWM v3.2.0.1 and COT v2.X.X), while other recoveries I've tried are incompatible. Note of caution: the CWM v3.2.0.1 recovery is not for OVs with the Hitachi screens--otherwise black screen issue. Thus, the choice of recovery matters...

I noticed that Andy had provided some useful inputs for you on AF. HTH...

Xionia and stock recovery are also compatible. Cammy... Are you trying to update prl or just having trouble getting your msl?

Using the service menu, I set the roaming option to any, and the the band preference also to any (from PCS....I'd think you have to change that, too), but it seems to connect to the same 4 towers. Only difference I noticed is that it swaps the CID around for the diferent towers. I'm using the OpenSignal app. Is there a better app for this that would give me more and better info. It doesn't tell me what network it connects to, only CID's for the towers... I admit that I'm not even sure what I'm doing here.

I have a motorola triumph with Virgin and I messed with that whole roaming thing quite a bit. In short, no go. I used roam Control to change my roaming settings. I got it when it was free and it would give you the current network your on as well as your sid.

I tried lots of sprint prls and they would roam but no data and if you tried to make a call, it was like a collect call. You had to pay for it. Im now back to stock Virgin prl. *sigh* it was worth a shot

btw. no noticeable change in data speeds between the prls. I know thats a whole nother can of worms but while were busting myths....

I did this today, and it seems to work great. I live in rural Ohio, and I was only getting 1-2 bars inside my home. Now I have 3-4 bars Awesome!

I had to go back to stock, and I used the hybrid file 61677. Is there a significant benefit to using the newer 01115 non-hybrid? Kinda wanted to ask before I changed ROMs.

Took a few tries but i got it to work I watched my bars when using the 61007 go from 1 or 2 to become 4 or 5 with the 61677.

I doubt it. I have heard a sprint user (in a post) say it happened to them because of too much roaming. Virgin has no roaming, so it's not possible.

Hi all.
So I have been attempting to get this done both today and last evening and am encountering some problems in doing so.
I'll try and give as much detail as needed.
I reverted to the Harmonia ROM from MiRaGe(maybe this is the problem first of all, idk)
Already have the appropriate drivers and what not installed
Downloaded CDMA workshop and also QPST programs.
My main hang-ups are 1)cannot get MSL # and 2) does not recgonize the phone as a COM port, so am unable to get it that way as well.
Recgonized as ADB.
Logging in VM account and following a link to a 404 page and "search" msl ? how's that done?
Greatly appreciate help with this and finally...which one of these PRL's is truly recommended? Is the 61677 still in a test phase?
I am and have been on 61007 for quite some time.

Was hoping sombody would reply, but the forum seems to be fairly quiet this weekend.....
After about 4-5hours I finally got it accomplished in recovery mode & QPST.
I went with 61677.
If anyone else has another verified/ proven, or one that is better than another, shall we say, Would be much appreciated
