Since the Marshmallow update my Nexus 9 has been sluggish. I have read that clearing the cache partition can help. However I haven't been successful doing this. I am:
1. Powering the tablet off.
2. Pressing and holding the power and down buttons at the same time.
3. Selecting Recovery and pressing the power button to select.
4. Android robot appears. So far so good.
Now for the problem. The next step says to press the power button and the up button together. When I do this I do not get the menu with the option to select wipe cache. Instead my tablet reboots. What am I doing wrong?
As a last resort I can do a factory reset but I hate to if I don't have to.
