Okay, so my wife returned her iPhone 4 and decided to get a Captivate. We got lucky and the store had them available already so we are now playing with it but I'm having a problem getting the drivers installed. When I plug it in it shows MTP Application on the phone and starts installing drivers but fails to install them all the way. Anyone know what's going on? I'm running Vista 32 bit (and signed in as admin) so it's not like it's an odd/new OS. I tried looking on Samsung's website but haven't found anything yet.

Nevermind, I was playing with the port since it wasnt in all the way (didnt have the slide over all the way) and after about the 6th time i plugged it in the pc came up and said the drivers were installed instead of showing the error message it showed before.

Phone not recognized on Win 7 x64

I had a similar issue. It wasn't the a bad usb connection to phone.
I had plugged the usb cable into one of the usb ports on my pc and
kept getting error messages about bad driver. I plugged into another
usb port on the computer, and it installed right away.

How does your wife like the Captivate vs the IP4? I won't be able to get to the AT&T store till tomorrow to compare.

She loves it and can't stop playing with it and telling all her friends on Facebook about it. She loved the screen and camera on the iPhone 4 but didn't get as worked up over it. She had a 3G before that and it was pretty much the same user experience. She is a blonde hairdresser and I just asked her how she would describe how she feels about it and she said this phone makes her feel smart, LOL
