problem parsing the package

I have a Samsung-sgh-i577 2.3.6 Gingerbread phone and can barely do anything with it so I was gonna try to root it and see what happens but I don't have a pc so I learned that I can root straight from my Android device by downloading kingroot apk file. I've tried downloading several different versions of King root as well as other apk files but this matter comes up that there was a problem parsing the package

Because most of the one-click root apps are built for later versions of Android. And the one place to find Samsung Gingerbread ROMs, including rooted ones, Area51, no longer exists.
