Problem texting pics to an iphone

I recently got a note 10+, I love it! A work associate is not receiving or able to view the pictures that I am sending in a work group text. She was able to see them when I sent them from my Note 8 but not from my Note 10+. What can I check on my phone that may be the issue? Thanks in advance for any or all assistance.

I have the reverse issue in which a group text containing a picture sent from my friend's iPhone, will not open for me unless she sends it to me solo. I have Note 10 plus.

Try sending them as a link and see if that works.

Group texts have never worked well between Android and iOS. Especially MMS. It's an incompatibility issue with iMessage.

My family has a full time group chat and there are both apple and android devices and I never have an issue sending photos. We are a family of 9 and we constantly chat between all of us.

What was your previous phone? If it was an iPhone, it's an issue with iMessage. You have to unlink your phone# from it.

After re-reading your post I noticed you weren't having trouble on your Note 8 so I have a few suggestions @SKalber. Some are a pain though.

1. Delete current thread on your phone, then turn off any advanced messaging features your carrier has along with MMS. Reboot your phone and go into settings and turn everything back on. That may fix your issues.
2. If not have the iOS users in the group delete the current thread and repeat step 1.
3. If that doesn't work have everyone in the group do step 2. then you repeat step 1. I've seen this help in the past. Not sure if it'll fix your particular issue or not.

The issue only happens with one iphone user, the other iphone users in the group text have no issue and it only happened once I got my note 10+. I am using the stock messaging app from Samsung.

What carrier are you on? Did you try both you and the user having the issue deleting the thread and starting a new one to see if that helps? Or heck, just try turning mms off rebooting and turning it back on without deleting the thread.

I am Verizon and I don't have any issues. A couple of questions:

Is your phone the Verizon variant, or unlocked?

What app are you using? Samsung's stock, Android messaging, or Verizon's Messages+?


I am using the Verizon variant and I use Verizon's Messages+ app.

Oh, another question.

Who created the MMS group? You, or the person with the iPhone? Try deleting the messages that you received and have that person resend a message to the group. Apple's iMessage doesn't like to play well with other messaging apps and non-iPhones.

I de-selected the group text option in my work thread that I was having the issue with, restarted my phone and voila!! It worked. Thanks for the help.
