Problem with Android and Chrome Syncing Bookmarks

I found mine finally! When I open the Chrome browser on my Moto E and hit Bookmarks in the menu, it shows Bookmarks>Mobile Bookmarks at the top of the page, and "No bookmarks here" in the centre. I clicked Bookmarks (to the left of "Mobile bookmarks," and a new page opened with three folders: Mobile bookmarks, Desktop bokmarks, and Other bookmarks. Both Mobile and Other are empty, but Desktop lists my Bookmarks Bar contents and shows another folder at the bottom of the list, called (surprise!) Bookmarks. Opened that, and voila! All of my bookmarks folders and all of their contents are listed and live!

HTH somebody. I found it by pure trial and error, with no help from the forums.

This worked for me on my Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1...

1) Go to Settings\Application manager

2) select chrome

3) Clear Data

run up Chrome, after a few seconds all bookmarks are updated.

I can confirm this worked for me. After clearing the data, I had to sign in again and then input the encryption pass phrase to sync everything correctly. In my case, it happens that I used my old password to encrypt my Google data and the first time I logged in on Android's Chrome, after a factory reset, it didn't ask for it, which now it did. Hope it helps someone else.

On my S4 I went to settings/accounts and than selected my Personal (IMAP) gmail account, not Google. In there at account settings( sync frequency, notifications etc) I selected my gmail e-mail adress and than checked "sync Gmail box" . That actually synced everything including my bookmarks. Before it said that sync is disabled and it would not do it manually for everything. once I enabled it in gmail it worked across everything.

I have a new Samsung Tab 3. Logged in with my Google account. However none of my bookmarks are syncing. Google Dashboard says I have the right number of bookmarks, but none show up in Chrome. Had a similar problem with my iPad 2 but then they suddenly appeared. Any suggestions?

Finally - a workaround. So frustrating to move from a Samsung note 10.1 to Note Pro 12.2. All of my folders transferred from an old backup instead of the current one and I spent hours trying to figure out how to import that later html file. Thank you!!
