Problem with Atrix 2

Hey Digger the only reason I went to the Kingston SD card was because I got it on sale. Have you tried a different SD card? The other questions some one with way more knowledge than I will have to answer that.

I think I may try a differant SD card.
But I believe from all the forums I've looked at that this is a software problem and I wonder if it is how long it would take for a fix in an update or whether this isn't something ATT,Motorola or Android thinks is important enough?

It worked for me. I have had my class 4 16gb card in for a week now and no issues!

i haven't read the entire thread, but...

if you're having sdcard problems, first thing to look for is
do you have apps installed to sd? if so, don't. uninstall them and reinstall them to internal memory
do you have evernote installed? this has been causing mount problems with other's sdcards.
is your sdcard a class 10? even though i have had no problem with my patriot class 10 card, others have had problems
have you tried formatting the sdcard via the phone? if not, try it, but back up your stuff first.

the camera app shutting down could also be a by-product of your sdcard woes.

Yes I did have APPS on sd card but moved them all to the phone. But now once in awhile I have certain APPS loading onto SD card on there own(strange but true) I had a moderator on MOTO forums tell me he had the same problem. My card is a class 4, yes I did the format and this is the 2nd phone. The camera problem was with the first one which has been solved with the new phone. Since moving everything to the phone I only have periodic problems(APPS moving on there own) But moving things off the SDcard isn't a fix it's a temporary work around. When I buy something that I am told will work a certain way and it doesn't IT bothers me. I want a phone to work the way I was told it would work .I appriciate the help you guys have been but I hope Android ,Motorola and ATT are hearing and reading these problems and working on a fix that will come out soon.

I haven't tried that. Do i put everthing on SD card so I don't loose what I have or will the SD card also get wiped in the process?

Trying a new SD card today same types of problems. I hope Motorola addresses the issue it makes no sense for a class 10 card not to work since it can handle fast transfer rates better. Plus now I'm going from a class 10 32g to a 16g class 4 because I can't afford another 32...
Transfer speed differrence 20 minutes to unload the class 10. 55 minutes to load the info back onto the class 4.

I bought a 16gig class 4 with my phone the other day, and it's been giving me problems... I just haven't had the extra time to sit down and try to figure everything out though.

Just make sure you dont save or move any apps to it

Read speeds are usually faster than write speeds. I've also heard higher class cards have slower random access times, that's why a lot of class 10 cards don't work well on WP7 phones (the ones with a slot that is). Yeah this is an Android phone but random access should apply so opening apps will be a teensy weensy mite quicker...I think.

have had mine for two weeks and have the following issues:
- random reboots (5 times in 2 weeks)
- loss of speaker phone functionality when on calls ( distant end cannot hear me when on speaker phone)
- loss of signal for 20-30 seconds and sometimes a message that says sim card restricted during this time.

not sure if the problme lies with motorolla hardware, software or a combination of both, but the phone is going back.
