Problem with charging NEXUS 7(2012)

Hey guys im wondering if any of you have been having the same problem, my tablet says it is charging but it isnt. in reality it isnt budging from 10% instead dropping 1% every time I turn it on, ive tried different chargers, usb's, connecting to computer, removing battery, factory resetting(lost everything). I don't know what to do I bought it a while back so I don't have warranty. Any advice ?

I had a similar problem.
Sent it off to Asus in Australia (after making some calls first) expecting a quote for repair.
Got it back in 8 days, storage growing to 32gb...work sheet said bios, firmware, software upgrade. (It already had 4.3, and while it isn't 4.4, it does seem different)
No charge (as in cost).
All good!

Would you be able to tell me what steps I should take to resolve this problem? As I do not have warranty so I don't know if I can receive the same treatment as you.

Maybe the battery connector is loose. If you're feeling adventurous, you could try popping off the back cover and checking the connections. Here's a video showing how:

I was out of warranty also.
Ring your local Asus service centre and request a repair quote.
I had tried everything else, to no avail.
