Problem with facbook

So i had this problem recently where i couldnt open link from facebook, means that whenever i would try to open one it would just close it self and come back to my news feed, so i searched for a solution and someone said that i should enable the "open link through external browser" via app setting, but whenever i click on app setting, it loads a bit and then crash
What is the problem?

Same issue and was not able to replicate it on my Motorola G 2015. Fb also can not be reinstalled on the G4

I deleted the app on my phone and use the Internet browser to open Facebook.

My carrier version AT&T does not give the option of deleting the app.

I fixed it. I went into app settings and cleared the cache and removed removed all updates. It is now working again

You can always delete the app, did you install it yourself or was it a system app that came pre-loaded on the phone? In any case, a new version came out in the last few days and that should fix the problem. Just goto settings -> Applications and then clear data and clear cache and it should work again as most likely you have corrupted data.
