problem with microphone

Ok this may be an odd one and I'm trying to understand it myself it seems the microphone on my phone doesn't want to work with s-voice, recorder and also when making calls but if I use the video recorder or take a photo with sound it captors sound no problems has anyone come across this problem yet

Inspect the primary mic opening closely to make sure it isn't blocked or clogged by any kind of debris (like lint). The video camera and speakerphone use the secondary mic as well (at the top of the phone), so that may be why those functions still work.

Ah right I thought this may be the case I've looked at the bottom mic and it seems clear although this may mean that what ever it is could be deeper in

Thanks tried that it seems like the could be dust or something in the microphone went to a Samsung repair center and the blew some compressed air into it its improved it a little but needs more done to it
I have to say three mobile have been less than helpful on this

You could try using a pin or needle to very gently scrape out the opening, but you have to be careful not to damage the mic itself.
