Problem with screen feedback when using a screen protector?

I found this tip on the web to help you get better feedback from the screen while using a screen protector or a case that has a built in protector:

Setting/Display/Navigation Bar/Hard Press Home Button (reduce the pressure level to your desired setting)

I was under the impression that setting only affects the sensitivity of the home button and nothing else.

I noticed an immediate difference..try it out and see if it works

Are you rocking a plastic film screen protector or tempered glass? I already set the setting to the lightest anyway, shortly after getting my phone, just to make it so I wouldn't have to press so hard to make the home button work.

I have a plastic one for now but didn't notice any difference in anything but the home button sensitivity when I made the change to the lightest setting.
