Problem with the s pen?

Hi all,first post
So I just got my new note4 this week from shop, not teleco. The first set I got had a faulty s pen. It cannot detect if the s pen is attached or detached so I managed to exchange for a new set. And I realized whenever I wanna write or use my s pen to scroll or select stuff,I need to apply pressure till the tip is depressed in before the screen can detect. As compared to my note2,I dun need to apply much pressure at all,as long as the tip us touching the screen I can write or scroll or select. I managed to exchange for a band new set and now everything works fine so far,but still I need to apply pressure before I can do anything on the screen with the s pen. Is this normal? Or is there a setting where I can just use the s pen as long as it's touching the screen without the need to depress the tip?
And when I enter camera mode in just a just slightly low light conditions,it looks very blur. Even my note2 looks sharper. Although the pic looks fine after I snapped it.
Any inputs or help will be greatly appreciated :)

As far as the S-Pen goes, the Note 4 is the first one I have ever used, and you do have to press the tip in, but I can hold my S-Pen loosely between two fingers and allow the weight of the S-Pen to rest gently on the screen, and that's more than enough pressure to be detected. I can also hold the S-Pen over the screen and press in on the tip with a finger and it is successfully detected, and the pressure necessary for this is so light I can barely feel the tip of the S-Pen on my finger. There's no real "pressure" involved.

You shouldn't have to apply any pressure to the pen while using it. The pen simply has to touch the screen in order for it to control the screen. It's the same as your finger, no pressure required. You might try changing the tip.

Well the thing is my set doesn't even comes with the spare s pen tips, and I'm sure they are supposed to be there. Even the fast charger wasn't provided, just a regular samsung charger. Which is why I'm starting to doubt my phones authencity.
But I did a check on the imei number through the Web, seems legit though. Registered as my local set..hmmm

Well the thing is I brought it to Samsung service centre and they verified that my set is legit local set. I ran the imei myself and the results were the same. Registered as original.
But I can't help feeling disappointed or skeptical about it because how can I manage to get 2 set with faulty s pen in a row? Without a fast charger in my second set? I tried to charge with the charger they supplied and it went from 15% to 30% with nearly 2 hours of charging. That is not acceptable.
So...is there any other way to confirm my set is legit? Or that the s pen is not screwed up? I will tend to use it from time to time and compared to my note 2 it feels wrong having to apply pressure everytime u need to write or scroll or select stuff =(

Something is wrong. Your Note should have come with a Samsung Fast charger in the box. As far as I know/heard, this is how all Note 4's come. Something is wrong with the way your S Pen is working too. You shouldn't need to apply ANY pressure to the screen. You should complain to whatever store you got the phone from. While at the store, see if you can test your phone with another S Pen and also test your pen on another Note 4. It could be the S Pen itself, so try it on another phone. If the store doesn't have a Note 4, go to another store to find some phones to test with. Whatever the case, either your phone or S Pen is not working as it should, and you have legitimate concerns in my opinion.

Ouch...quite sad to hear that. Guess I will have to make a trip down to samsung again =(
If it's just a faulty s pen I can accept. Samsung told me I am able to get a new one.
But the thing that bothers me is how can they ship a brand new note4 without fast charger, no spare s pen tips, and in both cases, both chargers are completely different and both felt so loose while plugged inside the phone charging.
And the fact that samsung had verified that it's a legit set only makes me more puzzled

Have you been dealing directly with Samsung for this? Who has been sending your replacement phones with different chargers, no spare tips, etc?

I bought it from a mobile shop. Self owned. But when I realized theres something wrong with the s pen I brought it to Samsung service centre where they verified the authencity.
For both of the sets, both were brand new and sealed. I witnessed the owner of the shop cutting the seal on the box.

I'm surprised the box was missing the charger and pen tips if they're new.

Well the tips were missing. But the charger was there...just not the fast charger. Well anyway gonna bring it back to samsung and see if they can do anything about it. But before that just wanna make sure that it's a actual problem regarding the s pen and not how it was supposed to work

Ah, yes, I misread about the charger. As I mentioned before though, the S Pen should swipe without pressure. This is how it is on my phone. If I very lightly swipe my finger to change screens or scroll, it's the same as when I use my S Pen. Go to Bestbuy, or perhaps your carrier to compare/test your S Pen and phone. That's what I would do before contacting Samsung. At least you'll be more sure of what's going on.

How actually this s pen notif or reminder work when it's not attached ?

I'd tried to dis attach the s pen, screen off, and tried to move away the device from the s pen, but nothing happened, also i've ensure all setting turned on

Pls help

Thx

I have no intentions of using the s pen. Don't want it don't need it. Happy without it. It goes back to olden days. Yuk horrid s pen, I spit on s pen.
