Problem with Voice Search and Voice Recorder

I have used the voice recorder previously (a few months ago) and haven't touched it since - and now I can't use it. I hit the record button and the timer doesn't begin when I start talking. I also can't listen to previously recorded voice notes.

Additionally, when I try to use Voice search, a screen pops up and says Audio Problem with an exclamation point in a triangle and Google search below it. I have 2 options - try again and cancel. When I hit try again, I get the same screen. When I click cancel, it does cancel out.

Why is the voice recorder on my android is not working?

it was working perfectly just a week ago when i used it .*
when i checked if i could send voice messages on whatapp it says - ' can't setup the recorder now, please try again later'*
when i try voice search it says ' audio problem '*
when i try voice recorder it doesn't display a message but just doesn't respond .*
calls work perfectly and the person on the other end can listen to what i am saying .*
i switch off and switched it back on and the first time i did that and immediately went to voice recorder - it worked and recorded my message and i could play it back.*
but when i tried to record a second message it didn't work . i tried the same restarting thing again and it didn't work .*
the voice message in whatsapp and voice search didn't work even after restart .*
Anyone encountered a similar thing and know what the problem is ?*
