Last night I updated my phone and for some reason anytime I want to change the skin from something other than HTC "The application Skin Picker has stopped unexpectedly" comes up. And I am also unable to change my wallpapers from anything other than the live wallpapers, a message saying that the Gallery application has stopped unexpectedly. I have been trying to do anything from reinstall these apps by using ES explorer. Even when I try a factory reset the phone freezes and I have to take the battery out and start it up again, I've attempted about 5 times to no avail.

I even went to the Verizon store today and the people there didn't seem to know anything.

Any help is welcomed, I know these aren't huge problems but I really liked the way my phone looked before.

i have the exact same problem after the update. I use launcher pro and now it wont stay. Also, my camera seems to be flickering uncontrolably,,, ugh!

Yeah I thought using another launcher would do the trick, but nope. I'm more frustrated over the fact that the update was hardly noticeable.

You could try a factory reset. From what I'm reading, this seems to help little glitches after updates.

Yeah Ive tried to but my phone freezes in the middle of the reset process . then I have to take the battery out just for it to work again. is there another way to reset other than going through the settings menu?

I'll try another store tomorrow, I went to one yesterday and the employees took out the battery put it back in and told me out was fine even when I showed them it wasn't okay. Then they said some bs about a server being down. You really think they'll just give me a new phone? I've only had this one sure 3 weeks.

i mean go in and do a reset and show them that it gets stuck. if they give you a hard time ask for a manger. if that doesn't work get their store code and call vzw (national, not local) and explain the situation and that you've exhausted your options and you need a working phone. if verizon cannot accommodate this you'll look at another carrier who can...if that doesn't get them motivated to help idk what will

I recommend to anyone that has done these updates to factory reset your phone. It will clear lots of errors I have been seeing people report on here. Once I did that, the OS asked me one time if I wanted to use HTC sense or launcher pro and once I checked the box, it never went back to HTC sense. My camera error went away, the clock comes up now from the widget, and all is well. Dont know if any of the issues can come back again but for now, it seems like a factory reset will just do the device good overall, especially after big or small carrier updates.

Phone works! I went up there and a person gave me another way to hard reset the phone. Hold down the minus volume button and power button and the option to factory restore comes up.

Yeah, my Gmail stopped working, my Market stopped working, my Amazon App store force closes, the phone process force closes, stuff I'm not even running force closes. Jeez! I'm going to have to factory reset, which I had just done recently after the GB update killed my clock. This is a pain in the ass. Takes so long to get my home screens set back up again and get all my apps from the Amazon store manually reinstalled. Grrr.

Well the clock bug is going to come back! Everything else so far is working very well. So hard reset with confidence. It seems to really fix the quirks. Thank god getting your apps back is a simple procedure unlike my old blackberry
