For months now I have had a strange issue with my Realme 8 phone. If I am connected to wifi it all works fine but if I disconnect and even when I have a good 4g signal I often cannot get online. I share my location with my wife also and she can't see me when this happens. Usually a reboot of the phone fixes it. Its on Talkmobile (Vodafone) and they have checked and all is ok their end. Text messages sometimes dont go also and today I had a voicemail come in from yesterday!

Any thoughts?

Can try to reset mobile network, also how old is your sim card?

Sim card is fairly recent. I think we changed to Talkmobile about a year ago. When you say reset mobile network do you just mean turning off mobile network and back on again? That sometimes works as does changing from 4g to 2g and back again. I have however just found a feature under the developer settings which is to always keep mobile data on even when on wifi. As the problem seems to be when I disconnect from wifi and go back to mobile data I am hoping this might cure it.

Bit more information. Keeping on mobile data hasnt worked. It was ok for a few day then today no internet. Out and about just now and nothing. Back home where I know I have a good 4g signal and nothing. However it works as a hotspot. So if I turn my hotspot on and connect my laptop to the phone I get internet. I just cant browse on my phone, use outlook or anything that requires an internet connection. Only a reboot which takes forever fixes it.

I'm not sure where's reset network is on your device but if you search in settings type "Reset" see if network reset populates or menu for reset might take you there.
Sorry for the delayed response

Thanks. I did a search on reset network and there is an option. It requires a finger print to proceed so Ive left it for now as Im off out and need my phone so ill not risk it just yet. I did also find access point names as suggested above but there is no reset in there, just a load of WAP settings, IP addresses etc for Talk Mobile.
