Hi there,

I'm trying to hook up my tab to my PC to develop apps for Android.
Windows detects the device and starts installing, but it keeps popping up with 'found new harware: SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device'
I've installed the latest version of Kies, but still failed to get any connection.
On the tab I get a warning message that no PC with communication software installed was found.
The tab is listed in the device manager as Samsung mobile MTP device, but is refreshed every two seconds or so, giving the 'new hardware' popup again.

I've tried multiple versions of the driver but to no avail.

I'm running on:

-Windows XP Professional SP3
-Kies 2.5.3
-Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100)
-Android 4.1.2

Anyone can help with this?

Thanks in advance,

Dirk

I just went through this on two XP computers.

You must have Windows Media Player version 11 installed. Check your version and upgrade if needed. Remove Motorola Device Manager and re-install.
Fixed it on both my computers.
