Problems pairing the Nexus with my car

Got my Nexus yesterday, so far good. Tried to pair with my car today (2010 MB E350) but no luck. The car can't find the phone at all.

I was able to pair with my wife's car with no problem and to other BT devices I have; had no problem paring my Evo and Epic with this car before. If I can't pair the Nexus with my car's handsfree phone system then this phone is a no-go for me.

Anyone else has noticed similar issues? Solutions?

I've been able to pair mine with my Hyundai Sonata, but now cannot get voice dialing through the CAR to work (worked flawlessly with my Pre). I believe it might be a permissions issue.....I vaguely recall when i first paired my Pre it asked if i would allow sync of my contacts, but I did not get such a prompt from the Nexus.

Different from OP issue, but a car\bluetooth issue nonetheless......

If anyone has any experience with this and can give some insight I would appreciate it.

Ugh - haven't tried it in my car yet. Hope there isn't a problem.

Make sure it's discoverable?

Did a complete wipe of the phone and then was able to pair and functions fine; most be something I loaded the phone with...

Will try to isolate the culprit if I can find it and will post the info then. Everything is good again...

I forgot to mention that my car works the other way - you make the -car- discoverable and search for it with the phone.

I'm sure that some other in-car systems work similarly.

Do you guys know if the Nexus S 4G has bluetooth message access profile (MAP)? which is needed for Ford Sync to read text messages and send emails via voice.

Hi, my husband just got the galaxy nexus and so far we have been unable to pair phone to the in built bluetooth in our 2011 ford territory. Phone doesn't find car and nor does car find phone.. I have the galaxy s 2 which is running ics 4.0.3, and I was able to pair no worries. Does anyone know how to possibly fix this as sumsung were extremely unhelpful and disinterested!
