Problems uploading photos to Facebook

Anyone else have an issue uploading photos to Facebook with Chrome? I no longer have a photo upload button for my posts and have to use a workaround to post to my own wall, and get this error when I try uploading to groups:

Your browser doesn't support posting photos directly

It was working fine on Chrome on my G4, and now the V20 version is giving me these errors. I've already tried uninstalling app updates, reinstalling them, and clearing the cache. The only references to this I can find online are years old and their solutions don't work either.

Maybe chrome needs updated or Facebook needs updated

Already mentioned that in my first post. I booted up my G4 to test and it still works but shows Chrome has an update ready. I'm starting to suspect it's yet another issue with release 54 of Chrome. The other being the removal of bookmarks/recent tabs link on the new tab page that I also posted about.

To the mods: since this is looking to be more of a Chrome issue rather than the V20, feel free to move it into the general help forum for more exposure.

Now it happened to me? All of a sudden I can post pics on fb!

Went to setting and requested desktop site and it worked fine. Seriously?

Nice work around. I remember top get the desktop site, I use to have to select that option then manually change the URL to get it. Now it works well enough to select the request desktop option by itself.

Only thing is that it is a pain to scroll around and expand and shrink to see things easy.

Figured it out. Nougat disables System Webview and you can't enable or update it with Chrome enabled. Try disabling Chrome, enable and update System Webview, then enable Chrome again. SWV will be disabled again, but Facebook started working right to upload photos.

I have a Samsung S8 and just upgraded to Oreo. In chrome I am getting this problem now that I never had before. I tried the disable Chrome, update SWV, re-enable Chrome but didn't work.
Anyone find a solution to this?

I just updated to the lasted version of Android software last night.
since then I can no longer post pictures onto posts on facebook via Chrome.
This is seriously inconvenient as I use this to advertise my business.
Why would they remove this option? It just doesnt make sense.
The facebook app is bad enough where they stopped you from accessing your picture folders and locked it to gallery only.
Can anyone PLEASE help??!
Seriously considering moving back to Apple... really disappointed.

On another note-
when I clear my notification from lock screen/home screen all the notifications from my widgets disappear...!!! WHY??? Now I keep missing messages from customers!!!

When I go to Chrome on my Android now and try to upload a photo on facebook.com, I get two errors that say "Unfortunately Chrome has stopped." The report buttons do nothing, and the photo uploader just loads indefinitely until I back out.

I cleared cache on Chrome, no good. I cleared all data, no good. I tried incognito mode, no good. I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, and it worked! Until the update reinstalled; now it doesn't work again. I tried to upload photos to other websites and it worked. I switched to my MetroPCS browser, and it worked with facebook.com (even though it's just a modified Chrome).

It's the new Chrome update: for some reason it's incompatible with facebook.com. I absolutely refuse to use the app, so either they need to fix it or I'm finally done with Chrome.

I stopped using Chrome for Android.. it loads slower and takes up RAM. Firefox has been working much better for the mobile experience. For desktop, I'm okay with using Chrome since it has extension add-ons.
