Problems w/oreo? - do a factory reset!

As the title says guys....99% of the problems are fixed by simply doing a factory reset. This whole forum was brought to it's knees about problems with the update. Do the reset, it'll fix pretty much everything.

everything that you haven't backed up first

Sometimes backups cause just as much damage. Best to only worry with contacts backing up and manually adjust everything else.

I just finished with a factory reset, can't set up Visual voicemail (AT&T) , it's telling me it's not part of my plan, I had it setup before tho

I fixed the visual voicemail issue , I also did the 0.5x change and running very fast now

I don't think a factory reset should be necessary. I have always done it myself in the past but when oreo finally arrives for me I'm planning to carry out with the reset to see how things go first. The update process really should not require a reset, the normal user will not think of doing so, or even know how to do it

The only time I factory reset is when I get a new phone. There will never be a reason for me to factory reset. Usually wiping cache partition fixes whatever issues I may have. I have way too much stuff on my phone to constantly reload if I were to factory reset.

Should one do a reset? Yes, but only when there is an issue and no other solution helps. The up side is, resets aren't as bad as they used to be, especially if you have your contacts and photos synced to Google.

Oreo is not like earlier versions. 99% of problems are flaws from lazy coding at the mfg.
