Problems with Asus wall charger

Last night, when I plugged in my charger to the dock connector, the light did not come on. I double checked the wall connection and the connection to the dock to make sure everything was properly seated. I wrongly assumed that the unit was charging. This morning when I turned on the tablet, I could see that it hadn't been charged. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution, or is there a problem with the charger? Is there a third party power adapter that any of you can recommend?

I picked up the charging kit at Office Depot for 29.99 as one other poster recommended on a related but slightly different topic. I needed a backup for work anyway.

They have been several threads on this issue that have been posted. There is a problem with the connectors getting worn out and bent.

In my case, the part of the USB connector that plugs into the wall plug was not fully engaged. So it charged fine after that. But I still have a backup in case something happens, and it's good to know about the connectors wearing out and getting bent. Thanks.

While I havent had this issue, I have noticed that if i plug my charger in right side up, the tablet gets kind of a static charge feeling to it, but if i leave it plugged in upside down, then its fine. Doesn't seem to affect charging either way, but the static feeling is obnoxious.

Had the same problem, saw a thread about the charger. I took the end off and bent the prongs just a little out and problem went away immediately.

I have had my charger quit working and I discovered if I squeeze the end together with my fingers that plugs into the tablet the charging system works. Hope that helps you
