Problems with connecting s8 with car via usb

Hi guys.
Please help me since i have already asked this question and nobody replied.
When i connect my samsung s8 to my car stereo (which i think is sony) via usb it plays music perfectly. My problem is i can't control it with my phone and i don't have any playlists i usually have on the device. When i try to play a song it plays it on my device instead of on the stereo.
Can i somehow control the music from my phone?
Please help.

Car radio USB connections are made for the old mp3 players like Creative Zen - the music is on the root folder of the storage, and that's all the radio sees. They're not made for playing music from cellphones. Since there are 2 "folders immediately, Phone and Card, and you can't put any music on the "root folder" (because there is none), it usually won't work. (Some radios look for an mp3 folder in either /Phone or /Card, but most of them don't. It would be like having an 8-track player in a car radio - the USB slot is normally only useful for charging.)
