Problems with Email App and Exchange

Is the email app with Exchange broken? I had a Moto X before and sync was constant however with device I have it setup for push and I get emails unless I manually do sync or it randomly does it. Also sometimes it will say my password is wrong when attempting to sync, then I will redo the sync a few times and it will act fine. What are your experiences.
