Problems with Fission 2.4.3

Been using Fission 2.4.3 for the last week or so and have several problems.

1. Bluetooth keeps dropping my Voyager Pro. I have to unpair, then repair to get it recognized. I have to do this every other day or so. Never had the problem in Apex.

2. The Picture Frame Widget wouldn't work at all for a couple days. Then worked fine for 2, now just shows a blank frame.

3. Default Ringers only hold their settings for a couple days, then change to something random or go silent.

4. Alarm settings randomly change the song I have set.

5. Some icons I've added to the desktop disappear.

6. Launcher Pro can't find the SDcard to do a backup. Worked fine in Apex.

Anyone else noticing these problems, or any others?

If Apex had a Blur free version, I'd go back to that.

I had issues with both Apex and Fission. Bad battery life, reboots on Apex 1.3.1, I could go on, but luckily I found Tranquility 3.6.0. With the Darkslide theme and updated toolbox, it makes Apex and Fission seemed jittery and slow. Most noticeable when adding widgets and a lag on more complex LWP like microbes.

I cannot stress he awesomeness of the toolbox. It easily allows me to change themes, bootlogo, bootanimation, transitions, keyboards, all things that must be done through the emulator on Apex and Fission. Edit; I wont say that, I guess through spare parts too.

Even without the toolbox the rom is faster with a significantly better battery life. That alone was enough for me. Plus the Apex and Fission themes seem half baked compared to the Tranquil themes. These things are Fully skinned and detailed. For the first time I have stopped looking for Roms and am satisfied.

Heres some pix;

New transitions with ADW EX are smooth and amazing!

And the Toolbox. As you can see, there is a bunch of stuff. Each menu has many many options in each. Im not going to list them all just check it out. And if the Darkslide theme is to much, you can switch to 6 others through the toolbox in a minute. No re-booting into recovery, no wipe, no backup. Its does set back to a stock Tranq theme first though. This means any transitions you changed, or things I do like removing clock from notification bar are gone, so they must be re-applied.

OC'd ULV 1.1 ghz with stagefright set to true I get a 2100 quadrant consistantly. About the same as Apex and Fission but there is no jitters in app drawer or lag on widget picker.

Load it and if you get a list of bugs HALF as long as the one you just posted then I will retract my statement. (Its all I got)

P.S. when switching from Apex or Fission you must wipe everything. People were having lots of problems when flashing over Apex or fission.

I always wipe everything when changing roms. still have issues with apex and fission. I'll try tranquility or grummy next.

Thanks for the suggestion .

Go to Gummy. I was on Tranq with the new toolbox, etc. The Toolbox is cool, but the Gummy Rom is way better and so much faster. No other rom can compete with it right now.

Gummy is a great ROM too, but I notice no difference in speed between these two ROMs. The added advantage of the Toolbox easily puts Tranq over the top. I haven't found a Theme for gummy that I don't have to Morph. Plus my boot logo and animation are now custom and unique, which was easily changed with Tranquil Toolbox, and that can't be done with any other Rom, that I know of without some difficulty.

I have been using Fission 2.4.3 since it was released to donors.

One key to get rid of the issues is to do an SBF then flash the ROM. I have not heard of any of the issues you are having in the several Fission threads I follow. Are you using an incompatible theme perhaps?

You should start from scratch. That is the only way to prove that it is the ROM instead of something else on your device.

I've never done that but it makes sense. I will do that next time I flash a ROM. I have flashed 10 roms at least without reseting to an SBF. Everythings been great so I don't see me going to a new ROM until its based off Gingerbread, not just a theme. Or it incorporates a few key things.

2.4.1 was the first time I did the SBF before flashing. It was recommended by the developer. I am in the same boat as you...I will wait for a Gingerbread (real) ROM then take the plunge.

Thank God for Titanium Backup so I can just flash and restore to my hearts content! :)

Question about fission, I have 2.5.7:

1) Where can I find the battery options?

2) How do I turn off the sound it makes while I dial numbers to call? So annoying
