Problems with google services/market

ok, here's the story; I hope someone can help.

I restored back to stock via odin via this thread:
Odin Restore files to get you to stock - xda-developers

There was a small update applied to the phone after I restarted it via the network and I'm sitting on 2.1update1
Baseband version: S:i500.04 V.DI01
Kernel version - 2.6.29
Build number - SCH-I500.DI01

I can use the browser and surf the net just fine. However, I can't get my marketplace to log into my google account to set it up now. I've tried via 3G and wifi, and neither will work. I just keep getting the message that there isn't a reliable data connection, try again later. Again, I can log into the google account via the browser and check the email.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try the standard: Go into Settings --> Applications --> Market --> Clear Data/Cache?

No luck there, the option is grayed out.

edit:
I've fixed it. I had to do a wipe from within CWM recovery... and now everything is back to stock, and I'm able to access the market again.
