Problems with Nexus One

I received my first phone a few days after launch. I was overjoyed. I had a great experience. Never knew I could use one piece of technology for so much.

I was a happy fellow.
Then the operating system crashed.
Had to jump through hoops with HTC to get a new phone sent out. Waited 6 days, got the new phone things weren't quite right.
Phone was "slower" in general. Signal issues. Pics take forever to upload. I have a good signal, so It must me the OS. (I think)
Now, every few hours I can't make calls or send text messages...not even 911.
I can fix the issue if I turn the phone off then back on again. But, I have to do this every few hours.
After spending quite a while with HTC and T-Mobil, again they want to send me out a new phone (after they put another $600 hold on my credit card).

So, I have to know: Are there any others having any issues? Is there something I can do to prevent this issue?
Thanks!

I've had my share of issues, but not those. I'm coming up on 1 month and may just return it to get a new one; still haven't decided.

I may end up rooting and putting a custom rom as a lot of people have told me their device issues went to a minimum (if at all) after doing so.

Sorry, forgot to mention what they were.

I had over 40 apps, probably even over 50 as I checked yesterday after a wipe and I had 30 and I know I deleted about 20 the other day and I my keyboard would go bizerk. I would hit the m and the a or a symbol gets entered kind of bizerk. I also experienced very low internal phone storage which led to some serious lag. After removing all the apps (including the custom keyboards), the performance improved and my internal phone storage is now around 126mb.

I still had some minor issues like Touituer not loading fast enough and still some lag. Yesterday was so bad, it made me wipe my device and if it does anything like this within the next two days again, it's going back to Google.

Nope no issues although I rooted like a week after I received it and have run various ROMs in the process. I'm on cyanogen 5.0.5.3 right now with apps2sd so no lag issues at all and the whole device is very very fast. I have all the fancy animations and all. I'm trying to see what will slow it down but nothing has yet. I don't use the stock keyboard as I like the HTC one much better and I'm running a variant of it with gestures. like swipe left to delete the last word, swipe up to access the shift and so on. much much better in my opinion. if you think you have software problems then a wipe should do the trick. If it does help then load apps one by one and see if any are causing your issues. if it doesn't help then you may have a hardware issue and you should return it to HTC. they should have no issue sending you another.

I had the keyboard issue Duvi described. But its only happened once. Had to restart the phone to correct it. Definitely a little frustrating.
