I have the swype 2.4.44.10912 version? Is this the newest one????
I had the red swype until I got an email saying there's a new swype upgrade available... Now it's blue

I signed up to be a beta tester months ago... even before I had an evo.. I guess they never open anything up because I've been waiting for a while now.

Honestly I'm sick of it, I dont see why some phones get it and others dont. I would gladly pay for it if they gave me that option. It is kind of annoying that they are being so selective where some people can get it and some can't... does anyone have the reasoning behind this?

Ask swype.com in there forums. They seem to respond alot.

I feel the same way if they weren't so choosy about who gets it and would put it out on the market I would gladly pay money for it because simply put I love Swype

anyone have this problem on the EVO:

After a reboot, my swype functionality will go away (i.e. touch type works on the swype keyboard, but dragging my finger to create words doesn't work).

my workaround is to switch to a different keyboard in the input method dialog, and then switch back to swype, and voila, it starts working again.

Perhaps there is some startup bug with the swype beta and using it on EVO?

Yeah that's why its still beta haha but try uninstalling and installing again. Clear data too.

2. Reinstall swype

How do I do this?? My "Swype" is corrupt. I want to reinstall it.
