At project ara's conference they announced they would release a gray phone. A gray fun is w bare bones device meant to be customized. The cost gray phone is uncertain the rumor is $50 dollars. I don't if that is starting price or Googles build cost to make a gray phone.

I will be picking one up as long as run stock android and can update the software relatively similar to the nexus line.

Just the other day I received a Google opinion rewards survey that was entirely based on project ara. It asked questions like "if you could, would you rather buy a better camera for your current phone or buy a new phone for a better camera" and things of that nature just asking about different parts. I've included some screen shots of the survey.
