Hello

I work for a district attorney's office and they have expressed a desire to encorporate tablets (of some kind - which kind hasn't been determined) in the courtroom. The goal is to give each juror (and a few others) a tablet and be able to project a "presentation", which will actually be a collection of scanned documents, onto all of the tablets at one time. The "presenter" will be a computer centrally located to whichever attorney is speaking at that time or maybe some other person. The presented documents will be mostly scanned pdfs but I can see a lesser need for some video, but mostly static docs. Obviously, we are not looking for the tablets to have any control of the presenter PC, as Splashtop and most of the remote control apps would do. We need it to be one way only. Also, because we need to control up to maybe 20 tablets at once, wireless performance might be an issue, but hopefully because we are just talking static content this will not be a dealbreaker. So does anyone know of a currently existing app that will do this? If not, would anyone be willing to work with us to develop an application for this project? I have searched for apps already of course, but so far have only found the Splashtop type apps that will not work for what we are trying to do. If you get right down to it, we REALLY just need wireless monitors that can display what is on the screen of the presenting computer, but I have not been able to find something like that any more than I can find an app.

Secondarily, if we use tablets, we will need to control what the users can do on the tablets. I haven't yet searched for the best ways to do that but thought I would add that to this post. We would need to make it so that the user can only run whatever app we use. To that end, does anyone have any ideas on that? Optimally, we would use the app as the shell so that there was no other choice to the user, but we would probably need some sort of user access control so that an admin user could log into the tablet and run updates and configure it and such.

Thanks in advance for whatever direction or advice you might have and again, if developing the app(s) ourselves is the only means to do this, we would not be averse to working with a developer on the project. If you can help with that, please contact me directly.

I have personally never tried this app, but it seems that replicate for ipad might do the job.

Also, I do know that IOS has this guided access, which can lock a user into a single app (by disabling all means to return to the homescreen).

I think it would help to first know your motivations for wanting to do so. Is it to go paperless? Is there any reason why these documents and video could not simply be projected onto the wall or via screens in front of the jurors? I am not trying to dissuade you, just trying to know more about the context so I can offer an alternate solution if it ever presents yourself (so no offence intended).

Have you found a solution? i am looking for the same app

Any web conference software should be able to handle that.
