proof of charging/light/indicator?

Hi, is there no charging light/indicator for this phone? I mean besides when i unlock it and it shows the battery icon being charged? I saw the led dot flash white once or twice, but i am used to either the indicator spot glowing or at least with motorola the charging port having a glowing white light to have visual proof it's charging without having to unlock. I take it and hope the razr maxx not having such a feature is normal?

If it can do LED Notifications then try LightFlow. I use it on my GNex for all sorts of Notifications including charging / charged.

The phone did use the LED when charging when it was first released. There was an update and they took it away for some reason. Light flow will prob work, I used it when I was rooted not sure if it requries root or not.

It does work. I installed and it will work. There are a couple of colors that the Maxx will not use, but it's great. I am really happy with the charging/charged status light.
