Proximity Screen Off/Lock not Working

On my prior phone I used an app to turn off and lock the screen by turning it face down or otherwise covering the screen. None I have tried will work on my S10+. All permissions, admin accepted during set up.
Is this a Samsung issue? Are there apps known to work with S10?

Obviously not every app is going to work with every device. Having said that you'd probably have better luck finding out if something is compatible with the S10 is to check the reviews of the app. People will mention if the app doesn't work and if your lucky they may also mention which device they have. As for your question here it would help if you offered a bit more information;

What is the app name that you used? This could help us suggest a similar app or know if we are using it to offer advice.

Why don't you like setting the screen lock to instant and just pressing the power button to lock the screen whenever you put the screen to sleep? No app, no permissions, comes stock on the device and works.
