Proximity sensor lag - fixable via software update?

Hey all,

I realize that it's not the biggest issue in the world, but the lag that exists when taking the phone from your pocket and then waiting for the second screen to activate and THEN knocking the phone on can seem like an eternity...

Not saying it will be addressed, but could an issue such as this be rectified via software patches? Or is linked more to actual hardware configuration?

It's most likely working how LG intended. Not sure if there is a setting that could be tweaked with root access.

I noticed this as well. Fairly annoying but not terrible. I assume it can be fixed

Doesn't seem like mine lags at all. Remove from pocket, as soon as I do the second screen is there. Double tap, awake no lag at all.
