Proximity Sensor

None at my end.
My phone too. ;)

What is yours doing or not doing?

Mav.

Sent from my Sprint Tri-Band Nexus 6.

I've had a couple random reboots. But today I would move screen from my face just a little bit and it would turn on. Kept muting calls. Putting them on hold. Very annoying.

Someone else complained that the sheer size of the phone and the location of the proximity sensor makes it likely that an average user will have a hard time keeping the screen dark during a call. I have noticed this as well; I have to make a conscious effort to either monitor the position of the phone so as to keep the sensor engaged, or deliberately hold the phone away from my face so as to not trigger anything on the screen.

I've had this type of issue on my 2013 Moto X and my HTC One M8. My wife also has this same problem on her Note 3. I think it's really just an Android problem. It almost seems that once you're face comes off the touchscreen a bit the phone wants to wake up, even if the proximity sensor is covered...

yea same here screen pops on and i have to reposition the phone to et it to go off or ill look at it and anoher app is open really weird never had this issue on any of my other devices and i had the noe 2 and 3

Question? Are you running the latest version of lollipop 5.1,and have a GSP on your Nexus 6? If the GSP covers the proximity sensor (not cut around it)
This is where your problem is coming from. I had a GSP on my Nexus 6 that covered the sensor since removing it and replacing it with one that has a cutout around the sensor... No more problems!
