Pull down notification shade issues

My s21 ultra pull down shade has had freezing issues and wind respond to clear every once in a while. I noticed that this started happening around the time of the Android 13 update. In order to unfreeze, I've got to go into settings and shut down messages. Then it will work again for a short time. Any hints?

How did you figure out to force close the Messages app? Is this Google Messages or Samsung Messages?

It was Google messages. I just started with the last notification was that I received, ant it was Google messages. So I force stopped it, and the issue went away. This doesn't mean it's not something else causing the problem. Just that it in-froze my notification shade on the home screen.

Try clearing cache in recovery
