Pull the trigger or better to wait?

So, I had some time fooling around with the Nexus 7. I really like it, especially in comparison to my iPad 3, this thing is light and I'm more likely to take it with me wherever I go. The rubberized back is a nice touch too.

However, a few things concern me:

- the separation of the case from the tablet, and the creaking noise that has been reported
- backlight bleeding

Anyone know if the latest shipment of these should have issues resolved? Anything that can be fixed with a software update at some point doesn't bother me.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have nexus 7 yet. But it seems that these issues were more common in the earlier production units. Im sure google has takes steps to prevent such defects since the issues you mention got plenty attention. Anyways, If you get a defective unit, you can return it for a another one.

The issue you listed has been fixed sometime mid August. I haven't seen any complaint about this from people who bought after mid Aug.
I think you should be good. but try getting a 16Gb version and you wouldn't regret.

Great choice. I am enjoying mine. Had my 8 gig since Thursday. Enjoy.

Honestly, this is the first device I felt could replace my tablet AND my ereader (due to weight and size)

I just purchased mine three days ago and it's not having any of the problems that have been reported.
My Walmart got this shipment about 5 days ago, so I think all the issues have been worked out.
If I were you I would go for it.
