XL 32gig in black through the Google store. Its a lot of money but it will be my first real smart phone so kinda excited. Estimated delivery mid December.

Your first real smartphone? How so? I thought I was a hold out back in 2010 lol. If it's your first one I might suggest going to a Best Buy or something to try different things out.

The reality of it is that you'll likely be delighted with just about any smartphone out there - so long as the battery makes it through the day. Won't be a problem with the Pixel XL, though, and you're getting as smoothly running a device as you can buy.

That said... I hope you've given some thought to your wireless plan - without any historical measure of how much data you will use, a limited plan could be pretty dangerous (though if your carrier does only offer limited plans, you should be able to check your actual usage mid-cycle and make an adjustment to encompass the amount you're trending towards).

Also, kudos for doing the smart thing and going to the (imho) best forums to review options and opinions (even if they can be a bit snippy between different device factions!).
